Mrs. Aundrea McLendon

Hi y'all! I’m Aundrea McLendon, and I’m ecstatic to teach your child this year.  I hope to develop a meaningful and lasting relationship with you because together we can create an amazing learning experience that is supportive, challenging and filled with fun! My passion in teaching leads me to nurture, engage and empower your child to build confidence within them that will follow them even once they leave my classroom. In my classroom, we learn but also have lots of moments to laugh at fun situations. I'm someone who loves to laugh and create situations where my students do too. 

I first moved to Troy, AL when I began pursuing my degree in Elementary Education at Troy University. I then began my masters in the same field. I have 8 1/2 years of experience teaching in my own classroom, and the past six years have been teaching first grade. This is my ninth year at Troy Elementary School, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being apart of the Trojan family.

I am married to an amazing man and my best friend, Justin. We are proud parents of a sweet baby girl, Everly Lloyd. She truly has become our world, and we feel blessed to be in this chapter of our lives. We have two dogs, Panzer and Koa. Our favorite place to vacation is at the beach where we enjoy eating  yummy food and playing putt putt. Working out and reading are also hobbies we enjoy. Yes, we share the  same hobbies. During the fall, you can find us at all Troy home games. We bond over Trojan football during the fall because I yell “War Eagle” while he says “Roll Tide!”

This year will be an amazing year, and I can’t wait for it to begin!!
