What is a School Counselor?
Your school counselor is your adult friend. You are never in "trouble" when you have to see your school counselor. She is someone who will help you think about possible solutions to your problems so that you can choose which one is best to fit your situation. Your school counselor is a team-player who works with school faculty/staff members, parents, and community stakeholders in order to create a caring climate that will enhance your learning experiences. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, your counselor can help you achieve academic success that will lead to you becoming a productive citizen in society. Your school counselor CARES very much about you and wants only to BEST for you!
