Hello and welcome to my classroom website. My name is Doug Fontaine and I will be your Algebra 2 with Trig, Algebra with Finance, and AP Computer Science teacher this year. I am originally from Panama City, FL where I graduated from Bay High School in 2004. While at Bay High I was a four year letterman in Football, three year letterman in Track, involved with the FCA, and apart of the Technology Academy. 

After high school I attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL to further my education. While at Huntingdon I played football for the hawks, and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. I graduated from Huntingdon in 2009 with a BA in Mathematics and a minor in Political Science. 

After college I started my teaching career back in Panama City at Newpoint Bay Charter High School where I taught Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. I taught at Newpoint for two years before I accepted a district level position as a Technology TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) for Bay District Schools. For the past six years I have worked to help implement technology into the classrooms for Bay District. Also during this time I was a Assistant Football and Track Coach at Jinks Middle School. 

This last summer I had the honor of getting married to my awesome wife Janae Fontaine, and decided to move back to Alabama. Janae is a 2016 graduate of Troy University with a BS in Collaborative Education and currently is the Director of Woman's Basketball Operations for Troy University.
