Virtual School for Troy City Schools
The Virtual School for Troy City Schools is designed to provide an option for students who learn best outside of the traditional classroom setting. Online content will be shared for students to master learning objectives, complete assignments, and take classroom assessments. Students will be expected to come to their assigned school campus to take benchmark assessments and participate in state testing.
In order to participate in Virtual School, students must live within a 60 mile radius of the Troy City School district. Those residing outside of the school attendance zone will be subject to out of district fees. Students must have reliable internet connectivity in order to participate in Virtual School.
If a student’s grade is below a 65/D at the end of a nine week grading period, he/she will be placed on academic probation. If the student’s nine weeks grade is below a 65/D for a second time in school year, the student will be returned to the traditional school setting. Any student with a nine weeks grade below 60/D will be immediately returned to the traditional school setting.
Parents choosing the Virtual School option for their students, should complete a separate Virtual School Intent Form for each child by Friday, July 16th in addition to registering the students for school using the Linq registration platform.
